Wondering Nomads

The resilience of the people in South Sudan has made a big impression on us. When you have to leave your village, your house is burnt to the ground, all your cattle is raided,  your father is shot, your child died of hunger and you have to find refuge in the swamps where there are only waterlilies to eat. If then, you still have hope to continue… I have met all the people on the picture below, they have all experienced horrible things but their face shows how beautiful they are and that there can still be a smile, and that there is still hope.

We hope that in the new year that is ahead we are able to see hope in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in, and we will be able to see the beauty in everyone around us. Because the beautiful people live in the same world as we do.  And they will never have to be alone, because there will always be someone with the same button on as you. Lets end this year with the lyrics of a matching song ‘Beautiful people’ by Melanie Safka:
