Our timber frame is made from SLS wood. SLS stands for Scandinavian Lumber Standard, produced from pine trees in the North of Scandinavian countries. In colder areas the trees are growing more slowly, resulting in finer growth rings. And fewer knots makes it a very strong and suitable type of wood for our timber frame construction! This was a great day at the end of the year 2021, when we'd set-up our timber frame walls. Our house finally got shape! What the weather, we're together. We used geopolymer concrete as foundation. This is concrete without cement; very sustainable!
